In Canada, the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTF Act) places strict requirements on money remittance and foreign exchange services from any organisation that is not a licensed bank in Canada.

Any organisation that provides these services is defined to be a Money Services Business (MSB) and must be registered with the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre (FINTRAC). You should not deal with any MSB that cannot show their registration with FINTRAC.

CanadianForex is the Canadian arm of OzForex. OzForex Pty Ltd holds an Australian Financial Services Licence ("AFSL") issued by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission ("ASIC") to deal and give advice in relation to foreign exchange contracts and derivatives. Foreign exchange dealing is regulated in Australia by ASIC. You should not deal with a foreign exchange provider that cannot demonstrate they are fully regulated.
